A (belated) Happy New Year to everyone, although alas
it hasn’t been for me thus far with a really rotten January and what’s being
called the forever virus. It’s a dreadful cold which won’t go away….and so far
I’ve had it for five weeks. Which partly explains why there was no January
newsletter – I simply couldn’t face it. Also there was the problem of
communications with a land line out of action for nearly three weeks (and I
happen to live in an area of almost no mobile (cell) phone reception. But
things are improving gradually on both the technical and medical fronts.
Chapter 239 was emailed to monthly
subscribers yesterday, and will roll out on Blogspot in its usual four parts,
hopefully starting this Friday. Obviously there was no sneak-preview, so treat
it as a surprise. Chapter 240 in March starts the run-up towards the end of the
book (at Chapter 246) which is the Final Full day for the Summer Term at The
Styx for Year LXXXIX. Thereafter it’s holiday time in various guises until we
return for the narrative about Shagger’s wedding.
