Another calendar year has almost passed in real time. At The Styx, it passes rather differently, for obvious reasons. Chapter 237 has now been published complete for everyone receiving copy by email (despite the technical problems from a few days ago) and the first quarter for those reading my blog. Their remaining three quarters will continue every Friday as usual over the holiday period.
Another chunk of chapters will shortly be published onto One Drive, being №s 28 to 33 inclusive. They detail some of Shagger’s Spring Term in Year LXXXVIII, starting with his first interrogation by the prison Camp Commandant. (aka Susan Sweet, the School Secretary….not for nothing known as The SS)
Next month (and next year) sees Chapter 238 with Prize Day for Year LXXXIX, and everything it entails. At St Sticks, bottom marks in any subject means….well, more bottom marks. It’s also Harry Herbert Orwell’s appearance and penance in the Public Playground Pillory. Needless to say, there’s plenty of time during the day for Shagger to enjoy fun and frolics with the floozies.
I’ll use this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and also here’s hoping for a Happy New Year, wherever in the world you are.
